Collector's Edition for the Expansion - Saturday, October 07, 2006

The Collector's Edition of the upcoming WoW expansion, the Burning Crusade, is now available for pre-order through Amazon. In addition to the expansion, the Collector's Edition will include the following:

• Exclusive In-Game Pet: Netherwhelp
• Two World of Warcraft Trading Card Game Starter Packs, plus Exclusive Cards

• World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Soundtrack CD

The two card game Starter Packs by themselves make it worth buying the collector's edition. The collector's edition costs $20 more than the normal edition. Each starter pack will retail for $15. So if you're planning on trying the Warcraft card game, the collector's edition will save you $10 -- in addition to all the other goodies that are included. As a side note, copies of the WoW Collector's Edition have been selling for over $150, so buying a few for the expansion might not be a bad investment.
