Northrend WotLK Herbs and Ore Mapped - Monday, July 13, 2009

map of world of warcraft northrend with herbs and ore
Northrend, the continent added with Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK), now has all its herbs and ore mapped! To view the new herbs and ore, go to the Northrend map and click "View Northrend Herbs", "View Northrend Ore", or "View Northrend Treasure" and then click on the resource you want to display on the map. You can view Goldclover, Firethorn, Talandra's Rose, Tiger Lily, Frozen Herb, Adder's Tongue, Lichbloom, Icethorn, Frost Lotus, Cobalt Nodes, Saronite Deposits, Titanium Veins, and Everfrost Chips. Head on over and check out the Northrend Map!

We've also made significant speed improvements to the site so it should load faster and be more responsive. We've changed quite a few things, so please let us know if anything has stopped working.

We plan on fixing a few flight paths that have changed and then we'll add fishing nodes to the map! If you have any other ideas on what we should add, please let us know. You can contact us by leaving a comment below, emailing us, or via our @mapwow twitter account.

Great that the Northrend stuff is on the map now. I do use Mapwow for the Azaroth & Outland ore, now I can use it for the Northend ore too.
It's however still a pity that the BC part of Azaroth are still empty.
When you could fill this in, Mapwow will be marvelous.

One thing that would make browsing through the maps a lot easier: Enabling scrolling to zoom in/out.

It should be just a setting in the map api somewhere...

If you open mapwow from a link (i.e. google) in IE8 you get an errormsg most of the time.

(html parsing error unable to modify the parent container element before the child element is closed)

Path finding from one zone to another would be nice. Mostly for new players who sometimes are trying to figure it out how to get there.

another great idea would be to show lock boxes for rogues trying to lvl their lockpicking. as a lvl 80 rogue with only 145 LP its quite embarassing...but when i head out to lvl my LP lock boxes are no where to be found. =[

any way to get the maps updated for 3.2 or possibly get them ready for 3.3 when it lands? are missing vital data here, such as tourney grounds and such in IC.

Hey do you think you could add schools of fish to the map that would really help.

i tried three different locations for silver deposits in the Eastern Kingdoms. What coordinates does this thing use? i use Carbonite, and i've gone to the exact coordinates listed in the map, and the ore simply isn't there.

How can I download the high res image or images that this map uses? I want to experiment with them in some C# programs.

Horde can't fly from Sunreaver's Command to Venomspite.
